Missing Teeth

Question

I’m missing a tooth, what can you do to help me?

Answer

The solutions for missing teeth are dependent on different factors such as how many teeth you’re missing and how long you’ve been missing them. Some of the solutions for replacing missing teeth are implants, bridges, partial dentures, and dentures.

Solutions

Implants

Implants are specially designed screws fabricated out of medical grade materials that are placed in the bone upon which a prosthetic tooth can be attached. It’s the closest we can come to actually replacing a tooth as far as function and esthetics go.

Bridge

A bridge is used to fill in a space where a tooth once was. A prosthetic tooth is attached to the teeth adjacent to the space of the missing tooth.

Partial Denture

A partial denture is a prosthesis that you can take in and out that restores function and esthetics. The partial denture has clasps that fasten on the teeth to hold it in place.

Denture

If you are missing all of your teeth either on top or bottom, you may need a denture. This is a prosthesis that you can take in and out that replaces all of the teeth that are missing.
